Meet Mary
Mary’s journey in the birth world started back in 1875 when her great great Aunt Hilda helped catch thousands of the Goshute Indian babies as a midwife. The love of birth and supporting women is in her maternal lineage. Marys mother gave birth to her at home with her 7 year old brother assisting the midwife in delivery. From a young age Mary’s mother had always loved all of her 5 home births and had spoken so highly of them, in fact 30 of Marys cousins were all home birth babies. Mary was overjoyed when she got pregnant with her daughter Summer. She had her daughter at the hospital after 15 minutes of arriving, it was a quick and funny labor and delivery. Mary was laughing as Summer came out. About 6 months after her daughters birth, Mary, her mom and her sister became Yoga instructors. Mary started sharing her love of yoga with other new moms. About a year after that, she ran into a friend that was pregnant and her friend asked her to be at her birth. That friend offered to pay for her doula training at Bini Birth with the incredible Ana Paula through Dona International. Mary attended that friends birth and loved every second of it. A few years later Mary finally got her home water birth with her son, and it was everything she dreamed of. Then 3 years later she had her 2nd son the same way. Marys friends and family started asking her to attend they’re births. It wasn’t too long after that she realized this is her true calling. Combining her love of yoga and the poses that work so well in labor, as well as the meditation and breathing that can be so helpful. She uses Spinning babies and The Body Ready Method, as well as Hypnobirthing in all her Prenatal Yoga classes and with clients.
Mary currently teaches yoga and prenatal/postpartum yoga classes as well as mediation and sound bath healing weekly. She incorporates the 2 worlds into one healing modality to allow the mama a peaceful and fearless birth. Marys been trained in labor massage and healing touch, she’s taken lactation courses and an Ayurvedic postpartum doula training, where she learned from Heng Ou, the Author of the books “The First Forty Days and Nine Golden Months”. She loves to cook and combines that love of feeding new moms in her postpartum work. She recently released a postpartum ecook-book and healing guide with natural remedies for mamas. Mary supports and helps all births, she’s done home birth, birth centers, hospital, medicated, unmedicated, inductions, cesarean section, single moms, surrogates, and VBACs. But unmedicated births is where Mary really shines.
When she’s not supporting mamas, you can find her surfing at the beach with her kids, roller skating while her kids skate or singing karaoke.
Doula
Michelle
Michelle is a mother of two and a birth doula. Her deepest joy in life has been motherhood. She has always possessed an affinity for babies and fascination with pregnancy and childbirth. During her children’s formative years, she served as a teacher’s aide and substitute teacher at their school. Later, she dedicated five years to nurturing two boys, one of whom was on the autism spectrum, as a nanny.
Michelle’s own traumatic birth experience at the age of 17 left her feeling uninformed and powerless. Determined that no woman should endure such distress, she channels her passion for women’s health and wellness into creating beautiful, empowering experiences surrounding pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. Michelle believes that her diverse life experiences uniquely qualify her to provide compassionate and supportive care to mothers.
Doula
Sarah
Hi! My name is Sarah and I’m a Certified Hypnotherapist, Reiki practitioner and birth & postpartum doula. I graduated and received my certification for clinical hypnotherapy from HMI following their 18 month program. I was privileged enough to receive all three reiki attunements from Lara Elliot in Ojai, CA and finished as a reiki master. I am now mentoring under Mary to become a birth & postpartum doula! My goal is to weave together these healing modalities to create a safe space for mothers, partners and all involved! (Takes a village!!)
My journey with healing began long before my son was born but going through his birth solidified my desire to be a part of the birth worker world. I’ve learned, first hand, how important it is to be held, supported and lifted up during pregnancy. I’ve learned that labor & birth is incredibly beautiful and has a mind of its own. My son’s birth taught me how to completely surrender and have faith. This was a gift that I didn’t know I needed and has had a profound impact on my life. My wish now is that every momma gets the care they deserve and to have someone by their side to advocate for them every step of the way. I would be honored to be by your side as you transform into a mother.
Doula
Arlyn
Hello! I’m Arlyn, a proud mama to a spunky little girl, and a dedicated birth and postpartum doula. My journey into this work began with the transformative experience of becoming a mother myself. When I discovered I was pregnant, it was both a joyous surprise and a moment of deep uncertainty. I had just begun undergoing diagnostic testing for a health issue, and within days of learning I was expecting, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I was told that pregnancy would offer protection from the progression of the disease and to embrace this special time. And so, I did — with every ounce of my being.
I absolutely loved being pregnant and planned for an unmedicated birth, which I can say was one of the most empowering experiences of my life. However, during this time, I couldn’t help but notice a glaring gap in emotional care and support for mothers, throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. After giving birth, I experienced feelings of isolation and overwhelming challenges that often accompany the postpartum period, leaving me feeling unsure and unsupported at times.
It was through this personal experience that I had an epiphany: I want to help other mothers feel as empowered and joyful about their births as I had, and ensure that no mother feels overwhelmed or experiences the loneliness I did. As I navigated my own journey, I came across the beautiful truth that “The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.” I deeply believe this, and it became clear to me that my passion was to help other mothers feel empowered not just in birth, but in their transition to motherhood—feeling supported, nurtured, and truly seen. While the mother instinctively knows how to nurture her new baby, it’s the doula’s sacred role to nurture the new mother. Becoming a doula felt like a natural calling to me.
I am deeply honored to be able to serve as a trusted ally for families, helping them navigate the full spectrum of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum transition. Because it truly does take a village — and I would be honored to be part of yours.

Nadia
I am a mom of 4 kids, a hairstylist, a surfer, and a bit like Maria from the sound of music-with a backwards hat😜. My kids-two boys, two girls, are 11, 9, 7, and 6 – it’s loud and crazy, but I love it! We are an outdoors family, surfing, skating, hiking, camping, and playing most of the time. I have loved babies and kids ever since I was a child, and kids naturally seem to be drawn to me ( maybe it’s the candy I keep in my pocket😜). I have always been a natural teacher, coach, and calming presence. I’ve worked from babysitter, to nanny, to mother, to postpartum doula, and I love helping mothers and fathers welcome their new miracle babies home. I am a certified postpartum doula, as well as infant and adult CPR certified. I am drawn to this work because now that I am done having my own babies sadly, I know how tiring the first few months can be, and I want to use my expertise to help and support exhausted and overwhelmed parents and provide comfort and support. I bring a calm, nurturing presence to your home so you can rest, heal, and bond with your baby. Im here to help guide you and answer any questions you have as well as be a help when you feel overwhelmed and/or exhausted. I got you!
My services include overnight newborn care, feeding support (breastfeeding, pumping, or formula), sleep education, emotional support for parents, and light household help. Whether you’re a first-time parent or adding to your growing family, I’m here to offer gentle care tailored to your unique needs. I believe every family deserves to feel confident, rested, and supported—and that’s exactly what I provide. Having a baby can be very mentally, emotionally, and physically draining, and I’m here to help you navigate the downs so you can take in all the ups. Pediatric Sleep Consultant
Chloe Fries
After 14+ years of experience working with newborns and children as a nanny and Postpartum Doula, I realized just how important and powerful sleep is to the health of little ones and their parents. After implementing a sleep coaching program alongside my sister for her 4.5 month old twins, and then teaching my own daughter how to get better rest, I saw just how life-changing getting great sleep could be for the entire family. Seeing first hand what a difference getting the proper amount of sleep makes, I became passionate about helping others get better sleep too.
When working with families, I focus on a holistic approach to sleep. While we can all Google this method or that, find a schedule by age, or discover the steps to the “perfect” bedtime routine, the journey to great sleep is much more than that. While yes those tools are important, they are just that – tools. They are all pieces to a bigger puzzle. When those pieces are put together the right way for each specific little one, that’s where the magic to better sleep happens. I help families look at the bigger picture, and put that puzzle together in the way that works best for them and their little one. More info

Tawny
I was born and raised in Santa Monica. I am the oldest of 2 sisters, 1 brother, and my step sister with autism. My siblings and I are very close and I owe it to them for teaching me how to care and love children at a young age. I have loved caring for children for as long as I can remember. I started my own neighborhood babysitting business at the age of 12, where I was mostly a “mother’s helper”, caring for small children, babies, and infants under their mother’s supervision. I took a course in CPR/first aid and continued babysitting throughout high school and college. I worked as a career travel nanny for over 10 tears. During this time I would accompany employers, managing entire households and assist mothers every day as needed. I eventually pursued a career in Animation, working at Klasky Csupo as Assistant to the Director of Recruitment. After becoming pregnant with my daughter and realizing at one month that I would be doing it on my own, I had to reevaluate my career. I got my credentials to become a Montessori Preschool Teacher and became a teacher so that my daughter could be with me every day at work. For 10 years, my daughter and I fostered 6 children ages 5 months to 18 years old. We opened our home to students of all ages from other countries who were in the US attending in the ELS program at CLU. I wanted their parents to rest assure that their children were in the best care while away. I also wanted my daughter to experience growing up in a household full of children and love, as I did. After the pandemic, I quit teaching after 12 years to homeschool my daughter. I became a certified massage therapist and I dedicate my practice to helping expecting mothers relieve the physical and emotional stress that pregnancy and the demands of parenting bring. After experiencing my pregnancy alone, I wish I had known of all of these resources available. I now thrive on caring for expectant and new families by helping find relief and relaxation, reduce stress, and ease pain. I am fully committed to providing personalized care by addressing specific concerns and creating individualized treatment plans. Massage is a wonderful way to relieve the physical and emotional stress that pregnancy and the demands of parenting bring. You will feel completely relaxed in my cozy studio listening to the sounds of a crackling fire and soothing music, while experiencing pure bliss on a comfortable table with pillows to add extra comfort. Essential oils are always a plus! I also offer mobile massage if you would love a great experience in the comfort of your own home. (805) 409-6272

Chiropractor-Newbury Park
Dr. Kristin Beierle
I began my chiropractic career, focused on wellness for families in the community. After starting to have children and grow a family of my own, I became keenly aware of the specific needs for mamas and really felt the gaps in care offered by most conventional perinatal medicine. This left me seeking a community of like-minded professionals with a shared goal of better care of our mamas, our babies, and our families. After becoming Webster certified in 2018 and deepening my understanding of specific perinatal and neonatal chiropractic practices and treatment options through the international chiropractic pediatric Association, I achieved my specialty Certification by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics, CACCP in 2022. I am also a certified myomunchee practitioner.
My goal through care is to help children thrive to develop into happy, healthy adults. I use a diversified technique so that we can adequately meet the needs of each individual body and create customized treatment plans for the whole family. I’m here to facilitate healthy pregnancy, labor, and delivery experiences for parents and to aid in the development of your child’s body, airway, nervous system, and mindset. More Info

Birth has always been a magical, transformative event for me, and I’m honored to support you through your unique experience. I hold a Bachelor’s in Midwifery from Mercy In Action College of Midwifery, and am a Licensed Midwife/Certified Practicing Midwife. Additionally, I’ve trained as an Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioner at Shakti School and as a Certified Herbalist in Ayurveda, TCM, and Western Herbalism at the East West School of Planetary Herbalism. These qualifications allow me to offer a holistic approach that respects and nurtures the mind, body, and spirit.
My journey began with the births of my own children at home. Those moments felt so sacred and familiar, deeply imprinting the beauty and strength of birth on my heart. The compassion and wisdom of my midwife inspired me to follow this path, to offer others the same empowering care and support I received.
In my practice, I believe that care should be more than just clinical. It should be a comforting, empowering experience where your voice is heard, your choices are respected, and your whole being is supported. Whether it’s your prenatal visits, the incredible moment of birth, or the tender postpartum period, I’m here to walk with you every step of the way.
I specialize in low-risk home births, creating a nurturing, familiar environment for your baby’s arrival. As a midwife, herbalist, and Ayurvedic practitioner, I integrate natural healing practices into my care, ensuring a holistic approach that supports your overall well-being.
I’d love to spend some time with you, either in person or virtually, to get to know each other, answer your questions, and discuss your hopes and needs for this journey. My passion is to work with families who want a more personal, empowered birth experience—those who are looking for care that honors informed consent and holistic support, encompassing the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of childbirth.
As your midwife, I promise to give you all the time you need, answering your questions thoroughly and honestly discussing safety and risks, offering all the options available to you, and most importantly, trusting you to make the best decisions for your care. I’m here to support you, whatever comes up, with compassion and respect.
My greatest joy is seeing the Mother Archetype emerge in women, witnessing them transform and embrace their inner strength and wisdom. It is truly an honor to walk alongside you on this sacred journey, offering encouragement and support every step of the way. Thank you for considering me as your midwife. I look forward to the possibility of working with you and your family.More info

It’s taken years as a photographer, but mostly as a mom, to develop the patience, the compassion, and the eye for the most deep and meaningful moments. I’d love to SEE them for you. More info
