This ancient ritual helps mothers feel complete after birth. Using the Rebozo technique, we gently “close the bones,” honoring the body’s transition from pregnancy to motherhood. This process aids in hormone balance, realigns the body, and symbolizes the release of the maiden while welcoming the mother.

There are several ways to fund doula services, and we want to help you explore all of your options:

  • Some clients use their FSA or HSA accounts to pay for doula services. We can provide an out-of-network super bill/invoice for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
  • Some employers offer a benefit called Carrot, which covers doula services.
  • You can also add doula services to your baby registry through websites like Be Her Village or Little Honey Money, allowing friends and family to support you.
  • If you’re in financial need, The Victoria Project offers subsidized doula services to families in need.

If you’d like to help a local mama in need, you can donate any amount to help her access the care and support she deserves.

Belly Binding

Bengkung Belly Binding

Bengkung belly binding is an ancient postpartum tradition typically done a couple of days after birth. It provides a range of benefits for new mothers, including:

  • Reducing excessive blood loss
  • Preventing incisional reopening or infection
  • Reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation
  • Assisting with diastasis recti (abdominal separation)
  • Shortening postpartum bleeding
  • Improving posture and strengthening core muscles
  • Helping the hips and uterus decrease in size
  • Providing a comforting, warm hug and sense of self

We begin with an Abhyanga uterus massage to prepare for the binding, combined with meditation, music, candles, and a sound bath, creating a beautiful healing ceremony for the new mama.

Investment:

  • Each individual session: $150
  • Add a full-body warm oil lymphatic drainage massage (includes binding): $250

Closing of the Bones – Rite of Passage Ceremony

Closing of the Bones

Performed 4-6 weeks postpartum, the Closing of the Bones ceremony is a sacred tradition that helps mothers reconnect with their bodies after birth.

This ritual brings the mama back to a place of safety and security, as we wrap her tightly from head to feet. We begin by sealing her hips, which have been open for 10 months, sending gratitude to her body and helping her process her birth transformation. This ceremony allows her to let go of the maiden and embrace the mother, setting new intentions for this next phase of life.

Throughout the ceremony, sound healing waves vibrate through every cell in her body, helping release any residual tension. We end the ritual with a sweet mother’s blessing—a moment of comfort, strength, and sisterhood, giving her the support she needs for the journey ahead. We also offer this service for those experiencing miscarriage, loss of a child or loved one, divorce, or any major life transition.

Investment:

$200

Every Mama deserves a Doula

We understand that not everyone can afford a doula. We make space for a couple births a year where we can serve underprivilaged moms. If you are in true financial distress and would like a doula, please contact us and we can align you with our apprentice doulas. We use the honor system, we don’t ask for taxes or proof. So please only use this if you truly need it, we reserve only a couple spots for families in financial need.
