Marys Third Birth

Sep 11, 2023

My third baby, Beau, was born on July 9th, 2018. This picture says it all! 😂😂 His pregnancy was easier in some ways because I wasn’t working full-time, but being older, I could feel it in my bones. Prenatal yoga helped me immensely, especially as I stayed busy with my other two kids, making the pregnancy fly by. When contractions began, I called Robyn and my mom once again. This time, I used hypnobirthing techniques, listening to meditations through headphones during each contraction. We created a serene atmosphere with soft music, candles, and my favorite essential oils. For labor, I returned to my trusted low squat position while Max provided counter-pressure massages on my lower back, which felt amazing. My mom held me and breathed with me through the contractions. After a few hours, it was time to get in the tub and push. We didn’t know the baby’s sex, which made the experience even more exciting. My body took over, and I delivered Beau into the world. As I held him to my chest, my mom whispered, “It’s a boy.” The moment this photo was snapped captured my pure joy and surprise! Before all three of my births, I worked with a hypnotherapist friend to visualize the birth I wanted—and they each unfolded as I had envisioned. Our minds are so powerful. I adore all my babies and cherish their unique births. My hope is for other women to experience love for their births, release fear, trust their instincts, and find peace in the process.
