Lotus Doula Tribe provides birth doula care, postpartum care, and nanny and sitter matching for families. This policy describes what we collect on lotusdoulatribe.com and how we use it. It is our own policy.

What we collect

• Name, email address, phone number, and the details you type into a form
• Reference answers you choose to send us about a caregiver
• SMS records when you join the text message program, including your opt-in consent, the date and method of that consent, and the messages sent and received
• Pages visited and basic server logs

How we use it

• To answer a request for doula care or a nanny match
• To record a reference a caregiver asked you to give
• To send the text messages you opted in to receive
• To keep records we are required to keep

SMS and text messaging

You join text messages only by your own action: by checking the optional box on our Text Message Program page, or by texting REFERENCE to (805) 463-1300. Giving us a phone number, on its own, does not opt you in.

If you opt in, Lotus Doula Tribe may text you from (805) 463-1300 about a reference you agreed to give, including a confirmation and a short follow-up. Message frequency varies. Typically that is 2 to 4 messages for one reference. Standard message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of any service. We do not use SMS for marketing or promotional messages.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@lotusdoulatribe.com, or call (818) 324-9755. After STOP we send one final message confirming the opt-out. Opting out of texts does not change any other way we are working with you. The program, including both ways to opt in and the wording of the automatic replies, is on the Text Message Program page. How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number, SMS opt-in consent, SMS content, or any SMS-related personal information with any third parties or affiliates for marketing, promotional, or any other purposes. SMS consent and related data are used solely for the reference follow-up you requested.

We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your personal data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including platform providers, phone companies, and other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties.

We also share other information only with service providers who host the site, deliver email, or store records for us, and when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as we need it to provide care and to meet legal and carrier record rules. SMS opt-in records are kept for those compliance records. You can ask us to delete other personal information by emailing hello@lotusdoulatribe.com, subject to those rules.
