That’s where Arlyn came in.
From the very beginning, she was the calm in the storm. Whether it was talking me through one of my anxious spirals during pregnancy or gently reminding me of my strength, Arlyn was there—steady, reassuring, and full of love.
With her support, I achieved the birth I had dreamed of: unmedicated, empowered, and deeply supported, even though I wasn’t sure that was possible at first. And when postpartum hit, Arlyn showed up in the ways I didn’t even know I needed. Her care didn’t end in the delivery room—it continued as I transitioned into motherhood, and it meant the world.
Looking back, out of everything I did to prepare for pregnancy and birth, hiring Arlyn as my doula was hands-down the best investment I made. She helped me create memories I’ll treasure for a lifetime.
Arlyn is calming, strong, nurturing, and deeply intuitive. I recommend her to every expectant parent I meet. Everyone deserves to feel as loved and supported as I did.
I’m forever grateful to Arlyn. ❤️
Mary is a beautiful person and her support throughout my pregnancy, birth and postpartum was empowering. Lotus Doula Tribe educated me and my partner on the entire process (pregnancy to postpartum) while giving me space to tap into my intuition and strength. Mary has a beautiful grounding energy and always felt like a safe space. I felt that whatever decision I made there was zero judgement and only support. Throughout my labored there were times I thought my husband was supporting me and I would open my eyes to see it was Mary. She did a wonderful job supporting my husband as well and I am so grateful she was part of our journey. Mary was a true blessing to our family.
I could not recommend Mary and team more, do yourself a favor and have a consultation with Lotus Doula Tribe!
Thank you Mary, for all you do for moms and our families!
We were referred to Jackie by our doula and we are grateful for that referral every day! My wife and I are first time moms, and we were not prepared for the sleep deprivation that exists in the first few weeks. Jackie’s calming presence was a breath of fresh air in a sea of overwhelm. We trusted her immediately and she was more than helpful. I know that we were able to be better parents and more present in those days thanks to Jackie. We so looked forward to her nights with us, when we knew we could get more than a couple hours of uninterrupted sleep. Our baby is a really good sleeper now, and we credit much of that to what we learned and the help we had from Jackie in the beginning. If I could give any advice to new parents – you don’t need the fancy Snoo or expensive gadgets. Just get yourself a night doula and some sleep! I know we would have managed, but it truly feels like we wouldn’t have survived without her and that is absolutely priceless.
This was my 3 pregnancy, second surrogacy. My sister supported me in my last labor and as much as she was to be by my side and help me through my delivery it felt like there was still something missing. For this last pregnancy and labor, I wanted to see if having a doula would change the tone and labor experience. At our first meeting I knew Mary was going to be there for me and do whatever she could to help my pregnancy and my labor be special. Mary has a way of making you feel cared for and gives off a sense of warmth and love. When I went into labor Mary was quick to respond giving reminders on prepping my body for the work to come. My labor was pretty quick and Mary made sure I got to the hospital just in time to deliver. She was a beacon of light as I was having contractions helping me through each surge with encouragement, just the right amount of direction, and fabulous hip squeezes. I credit the positive experience in the hospital to her presence.
The staff and nurses responded well to her suggestions and nudges to the birth I wanted to have. After delivery Mary made sure to check in with me and set a more “cozy” tone in the delivery room as I geared up for the delivery of the placenta. I believe that having Mary there made all the difference, her presence not only helped me but I feel kept the interactions with the doctors and nurses less “medical”. It seemed like we were all just a bunch of friends there helping me deliver baby. Once you meet Mary you will see that she LOVES what she does and is super passionate about helping you have the birth you want. I really enjoyed the prenatal yoga classes she provides (I did go into labor a day after her yoga class) it helped me feel calm and connected. Mary really did make a difference in this last labor. As much as it was nice to be supported by family, having Mary there to bring in a calm presence and bridge the interaction with hospital staff was priceless.
Having Mary as our doula was great. I was a little hesitant to work with a doula because I knew I would be having a scheduled C-section due to past medical complications, and I didn’t know how a doula would help. But having Mary as our doula was incredibly helpful! She’s a wealth of information related to all aspects of birth. Before my birth we met to do prenatal yoga, and review beneficial excercises, poses and postures. She also helped me put together a birth plan and review all of me and my husband’s preferences about everything so that when the time came to go to the hospital I felt prepared and ready. At the hospital she was an advocate for our birth preferences putting us at ease and making the experience easier. Her presence was calming and reassuring and the food she left me with was a welcome delight compared to the stale hospital food. Every time she visited after the birth was different based on what I needed that day and how I was feeling, (but always involved delicious food!). She knew how to deal with all the pains, and discomforts that come with a birth (in whatever form it takes!), and when I felt stronger she led me thru personalized yoga sequences. Her sound bath and massage sessions were absolutely heavenly, always worked around the needs of mother and baby (nursing, diaper changes, spit ups etc.), and offered a space for mother-centered calm relaxation that was otherwise hard to find with a newborn in the house (even the baby loved the sound baths!). She also jumped in with changing diapers, folding clothes, dinner prep, washing dishes, and absolutely whatever was needed I highly recommend working with Mary!
I worked with Arlyn for my home birth w/ a midwife, and then Mary joined in for postpartum care. The birth was AMAZING, Arlyn came right on time during my labor, and was so wonderful with hands-on help, grounding my husband (who said in hindsight he’s so glad we hired her), and didn’t take it personally when I commanded her hands-off (I told her this might be the case beforehand and she was fine with it— something I was so grateful for and made me feel secure).
I also didn’t ask for photos/videos, but she took them anyway— and I managed to get a video of the moment my son was born. I watch/listen to it all the time.
Pp was wonderful with food, massage, and a closing/transition ceremony… Mary and Arlyn were flexible with my schedule.
Arlyn may be a newer doula (I think I was her 3rd or 4th client) but she was so professional, attuned and intuitive you wouldn’t know it. She let me take the lead which was exactly what I wanted to have the home birth of my dreams. Highly recommend.
Mary’s energy is second to none. She brought a sense of calm and strength into my birth experience that I will never forget. The most powerful moment was when my doctor and nurse asked if I wanted to touch my baby’s head as she was crowning–I initially said no, but Mary gently encouraged me to do it. That simple moment gave me all the strength I needed for those final pushes, ano before I knew it, my baby girl was in my arms.
Her warmth and love are truly one of a kind. She has a rare gift for making you feel safe, cherished, and completely empowered throughout the journey. Her presence is calming yet uplifting, and the love she pours into her work is unmatched. She isn’t just a doula–she’s a source of unwavering support, encouragement, and kindness when you need it most. It’s hard to imagine anyone else bringing the same level of care and devotion that Mary does. She is truly in a league of her own, and I feel so lucky to have had her by my side during such a life-changing experience.
Honestly, if I do this all over again (which I might) there is no one else I would rather have by my side (other than my husband of course lol). Love Mary!!
Mary is such a light and her presence is so supportive! We crossed paths toward the end of my third trimester and I just knew I wanted to have her be a part of my second birth experience. She really helped settle any worries my husband and I had going into a natural/unmedicated birth. From the abundance of knowledge she shared to walking us through the process – we felt totally at ease.
Her prenatal yoga classes are amazing. These classes really helped me get into the right head space for delivery. Allowing me some time during the week to meditate, envision the birth I wanted, stretch and strengthen my body. Not only was I able to prep and talk with Mary during the last few weeks of my pregnancy, I had the pleasure of working with her partner doula Eldrid too.
Eldrid has such a calming presence and a lot of strength! During my contractions I would lean on my husband while Eldrid applied counter pressure to my lower back/hips. She was very considerate of how much pressure I needed or if I needed her to help a different way. Eldrid provided such intuitive support; even in moments when I was unable to express what I needed she was placing cold compresses to my forehead, massaging and shaking out my legs after contractions. Really just going with the flow of my labor in the most caring way. Having a doula present wasn’t just beneficial for me but also my husband. It was another person in our corner supporting us through such a big experience. With Lotus Doula Tribe you are guaranteed to be in good hands!
A Phenomenal Doula Experience with Mary. I can’t express enough gratitude for Mary, who served as my doula during the recent birth of my child. From the moment I decided on a home birth, she was there every step of the way, providing unwavering support and care.
Mary’s presence during my labor was extraordinary. For three intense days, she guided me through contractions using meditations, essential oils, and her gentle touch. Her ability to anticipate my needs, catch me when my body faltered, and offer words of encouragement was truly remarkable. She made me feel like a superhero, reminding me of my strength and assuring me that soon I would hold my baby in my arms.
What sets Mary apart is not just her doula skills but her incredible personality. She is one of the most kind-hearted individuals I have ever met. Being a mother of three herself, her faith, humility, and grace shine through in everything she does.
Even in the midst of challenging moments during labor, she found ways to bring humor and tenderness, making the experience more bearable.
When the decision was made to transfer to the hospital after three days of labor, Mary remained a pillar of support. She held my hand throughout the entire process and reassured me that we were on our way to meet our baby.
During the postpartum period, Mary’s care continued. She visited us, organized a food train for meals, taught me how to belly bind, and even created placenta capsules. Her dedication and genuine concern for my well-being were evident in every interaction.
I can confidently say that Mary is the doula every mother dreams of having. Her role extends beyond just a doula; she becomes a part of your family. Her love, support, and expertise make her an exceptional choice for anyone seeking a doula. If you’re looking for someone who will go above and beyond to make your birthing experience memorable and empowering, Mary is the one.
I am forever grateful to Mary for expanding our hearts and being there for us unconditionally. She is a guardian angel, and her work is truly invaluable. Thank you, Mary, for everything you have done. We appreciate you more than words can express.
Mary has created such a beautiful community of women helping women. Pregnancy is such a wild journey and leading into labor/birth, you want Mary by your side. I could not have asked for a better support!
Before meeting Mary I was so nervous and anxious about birth and what comes after but from our first meeting she has this magical ability to instill such confidence…She advocates for her clients and is the best hype woman you could ask to be in your corner. She was always available for any last minutes thoughts/concerns and sometimes you just need to talk things through.. She was always there to run things by. Her knowledge database for all things woman/mom/baby is ENDLESS.
I have a history of depression so my husband and I were a bit nervous about postpartum hormones but having my weekly visits with Mary was such a game changer. Her support and love doesn’t stop after baby is born… She pours love in everything she does. From her DELICIOUS snacks and soups to one on one yoga sessions Mary leaves you feeling at peace and full of gratitude.
The moment I felt ready (and baby too) I signed up for her Mommy & Me yoga classes!!
You will not regret choosing Mary and her amazing tribe of Women. Empowered Women empower Women!
Jackie came into my life soon after the birth of my daughter. My postpartum period was not going as planned (whose does, really) and I needed some extra support. Jackie provided that (in every sense of the word). Not only did she help me get some precious sleep, but she also provided level-headed advice and a sense of calm that was sorely lacking during that time. I am so grateful for Jackie and cannot recommend her enough.
Beyond expected things like game planning labor and sharing advice to prepare my mind and body, Mary also gives the most wonderful (and much needed when you’re super pregnant) massages, chakra cleanings, family mediations and sound baths! When it was time for labor, her presence was paramount to my success and feeling supported and strong. I was fortunate to have the birth I envisioned and credit so much to Mary and her encouragement. Then, in postpartum, she continued her gifts of support. Her advice, joyful spirit, the foods, yummiest tea, more massages and sound baths that she brought were so helpful. Visits from Mary became the best part of the week!
Mary is such a special person who is truly living her calling. She is equal parts wise/ serious and light/ hilarious. Trust that you’ll inevitably need both of these sides during your birthing journey! Give yourself the gift of Mary’s support.
At the hospital she hit the gas pedal, keeping me in pain management head space with close talking, different positions, shower laboring, and ultimately helped me to the finish line. It was my first birth and I was in labor for less than 10 hours with only about 25 mins of pushing. I know the work we did leading up to birth and in the hospital helped bring baby boy into the world quickly.
Her postpartum support was essential. It gave me something to look forward to in those early weeks. The full body massages gave me life as I healed and felt the pains of breastfeeding and being hunched over all the time caring for baby. She made me feel seen and cared for, holding space for me to mentally process birth together. All my emotions didn’t phase her a bit!! PLUS her meals and treats she dropped by were all delicious!
Mary has found her true calling in life as a doula and us mamas are all better for it. What a gift! I would highly recommend her and her services.
Her prenatal appts were so informative. This was my first pregnancy, and I was so scared, didn’t have a tribe of my own for support, and had no idea where to begin with gathering info to figure things out. Mary put mine and my husband’s minds at ease. She guided us every step of the way, and throughout this process, we got to know Mary and her kind energy. She is simply the best! When I got the call from my dr that I would have to be induced asap, Mary comforted me through all my fears and tears. I remember her asking me how I felt about everything and giving me the space to express my emotions to be present in what I was feeling instead of me frantically panicking, and for that, I am so grateful!
Delivery day came, and Mary’s sense of humor paralleled with that of mine, and my husband’s made for pleasant and light-hearted memories/inside jokes through such a challenging yet empowering time. I could not imagine a better birth. She was so calming and knew exactly what to do and say to get me through each push.
Her postpartum care was my favorite part. Mary knows how to nurture and Mother the Mother so well. Her massages and sound baths were so calming, and I looked forward to seeing her each visit! She always brought amazing goodies and drew me sitz baths. She supported me in the ways I needed to be supported, momma to momma. I truly cherished each moment with Mary and miss her tons already, but I’m looking forward to being a part of her tribe and community of mommas. She’s the doula that keeps on giving even after her services have ended. So thankful for her!
If we decide to have more children, we will choose Mary as our doula again!
